How do I get a quote?

Is everything custom made?
Yes. Every piece is made to order. You choose the size, timber, finish and details so it fits your space perfectly
What can I customise on my furniture?
Literally anything, If you can imagine it we can do it.
In the past we've had people customize 2 of our bed designs into one, adding powerpoints to head boards and LED/Sconce lighting.
You can customize the door and drawer layout on your Entertainment/TV units and Buffets.
You can even merge some of our designs together to mix and match if you like certain aspects of one design or even send us some photos of design aspects you like that we can incorporate.
What timbers do you use?
We work with quality hardwoods including American Oak, Tasmanian Oak, Walnut, Messmate, Recycled timbers and other premium timbers. We’re happy to help you choose the right option based on look, durability and budget.
All our timbers are sustainably sourced from plantations and FSC certified.
Where is your furniture made?
All of our furniture is designed and made in Preston, Australia by skilled craftsmen. No flat-packs, no imports.
Do you draw a design and offer design help?
Absolutely. We’ll guide you through sizes, proportions, timber choice and finishes.
We will also supply 3D images and 2D shop drawings to make sure you know what you are getting.
How long does a custom order take?
Lead times vary depending on the piece and our current workload, but most orders take 6–10 weeks from approval to completion. We’ll confirm timing before you proceed.
Why is custom furniture more expensive than store bought?
Custom furniture is built from solid hardwood, made by hand, and designed specifically for your space. It’s built to last decades, not years. That is why it can’t be compared to mass-produced, imported furniture.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your order, another 25% when starting your job and the final 25% due prior to delivery or installation.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes. Delivery and installation options are available and will be quoted separately depending on location and piece size.
How do I care for solid timber furniture?
Wiping with a damp cloth (no harsh chemicals)
We use a wax based oil called OSMO oil. We recommend purchasing their maintenance products to look after your furniture long term. Care instructions are provided with every piece.
Do you offer warranties?
We offer a 10 year structural warranty on all our furniture.

Hey, I'm Jarryn!
I started J R Bespoke Designs in 2016 in my garage at home, this quickly grew to a thriving business by 2017 and have since been able to expand to producing quality custom made furniture Australia wide.
It is my mission to rid Australia of mass produced/flat pack furniture and fill home with beautiful furniture that is made to last a lifetime, like it used to be and the way it should be.
